If a battery does leak, clean all leakage from the unit and insert new battery. Leakage left in the unit may cause poor battery contact. If there seems to be poor battery contact, consult your Sony dealer. On the antenna Do not touch the antenna while using as it will significantly degrade good performance, causing drop outs, etc.

1. Preparation (1) When adjustments are performed, remove the AU-258 and RF-87 boards from WRT-800A unit. Refer to the “Section 2 Service overview” for removal. (2) Insert the harness of the AU-258 board into the connector CN302 on the RF-87 board.
