    When a non-HDD model with a user-installed hard disk is returned for repair, replace the hard disk with a Sony standard hard disk (! A-1823-472-A) and test the operation of the model. When normal operation has been verifi ed with the Sony standard hard disk, the user-installed hard disk may be defective.

    1-2. Removing/Installing Exterior Parts Before starting replacement of hard disk, be sure to turn off the power and unplug the AC adapter. The internal disk rotates due to the inertia for a while after power is turned off. Therefore, keep the hard disk free from shock at least 30 seconds after power-off.
