This unit can be played in two different game modes:
"Recreational" or "Tournament". In Recreational Mode,
you'll want to try to catch a Lunker, a fish which weighs over
20 pounds (the largest fish weighs 25 pounds!). In
Tournament Mode, try to catch the three largest fish you
can within a 20-minute time period.
Catching smaller fish is fairly easy, but catching a Lunker
may take a little practice. Picking the correct lure for the
current conditions and learning how to adjust the drag will
help you land one of these monster fish.

The water temperature will give you a clue as to the
activeness the fish. If the temperature is about 65
degrees, the fish will be very active and will occasion-
ally swim to the lure. If the temperature is either 50 or
80 degrees, the fish will be less mobile and you'll
need to get the lure as close as possible to the fish
before they will bite.
S N A G S
Occasionally you may find that you have snagged your lure
on a rock or other obstacle. Watch for the "SNAG!" mes-
sage on the screen. If you continue reeling, the line tension
will increase until the line breaks. To unsnag the lure, jerk
the tip of the rod upward quickly a couple of times.
If you do not unsnag the lure and the line breaks, you have
lost that particular lure and must choose a new lure.
Starting a new game will restock your tackle box with a
complete set of lures.
G E T T I N G A B I T E
You will have the best chance of getting a bite by controlling
your lure depth (with your reeling speed) and keeping the
lure at the level of one of the fish shown on the sonar
screen. You can also make your lure "dance" by tilting the
end of the pole up quickly.
When a fish bites you will see the pole bend, feel the game
shake and see a fish flash on the screen. If you have your
finger on the line, you can feel the pull of the fish. Pull back
quickly to set the hook and keep him on the line!

adjust your drag to keep the fish from breaking or running
off with the line.
