3DTV CORP STEREODRIVER MODEL 2001
The Model 2001 is meant to be used with wired LCD shutter glasses and 50hz (PAL,
SECAM) or 60hz (NTSC) 3D field sequential (i.e., right/left alternating) video and
tube type (CRT) TV's. For higher frequency TV or PC see our other products.
Connect a standard RCA audio or video cord from the composite VIDEO OUT (a
yellow RCA jack) of your VCR, VCD or DVD player, STB (set top box--i.e., cable or
satellite) or TV to either RCA jack on the Model 2001.
Most DVD players, including BluRay players, will play any of the 50 titles of
standard definition 3D DVD's available in 3D on a CRT tv or (with vga to tv
converter boxes available on the net) on a pc CRT monitor or on certain DLP
projectors or TV's (see the faq on our page
www.3dtv.jp
for info). Some DVD
players may combine the two images and there may be no way to uncombine them
to get 3D. You will have to get a different DVD player.
Plug the stereo jack of the wired LCD shutter glasses into either of the mini jacks on
the 2001. Up to 6 wired glasses can be plugged in using standard stereo headphone
splitter plugs.
Plug in the DC adapter (not provided) and the green LED will light. To turn off the
unit unplug the DC adapter. Neither the driver not the glasses will be harmed if left
on and they use a very little electricity but it is best to unplug the power supply
when finished viewing 3D. If you wish to sit further from the TV, you may use a
standard stereo headphone extension cord between the StereoDriver and the
glasses or an RCA extension cord to the video source.
POLARITY
There is no standard for right/left eye polarity of standard field sequential 3D
DVD's. If your 3D image looks strange turn the glasses upside down and if it now
looks ok then use the enclosed stereo reversal cable (the 4 inch --6cm-- long stereo
cable) between your glasses and the Model 2001 StereoDriver to reverse the
images.
