Recording a picture Remaining battery time indicator during recording The remaining battery time indicator roughly indicates the continuous recording time. The indicator may not be correct, depending on the conditions in which you are recording. When you close the LCD panel and open it again, it takes about 1 minute for the correct remaining battery time in minutes to be displayed.
LCD panel is opened up to 90 degrees. When monitoring on the LCD screen You can turn the LCD panel over and move it back to your camcorder body with the LCD screen facing out. Notes •When using the LCD screen except in the mirror mode, the viewfinder automatically turns off.
Recording a picture Shooting with the mirror mode This feature allows the camera subject to view him- or herself on the LCD screen. The subject uses this feature to check his or her own image on the LCD screen while you look at the subject in the viewfinder.

Recording a picture Using the zoom feature Move the power zoom lever a little for a slower zoom. Move it further for a faster zoom. Using the zoom sparingly results in better- looking recordings. Recording a picture When you shoot close to a subject If you cannot get a sharp focus, move the power zoom lever to the “W” side until the focus is sharp. You can shoot a subject that is at least about 80 cm (about 2 5/8 feet) away from the lens surface in the telephoto position, or about 1 cm (about 1/2 inch) away in the wide-angle position.
Recording a picture Shooting backlit subjects – Back light function When you shoot a subject with the light source behind the subject or a subject with a light background, use the back light function. (1) Set the POWER switch to CAMERA. (2) Press BACK LIGHT.
Recording a picture Shooting in the dark – NightShot The NightShot enables you to shoot a subject in the night or in a dark place. When recording with the NightShot, the picture may be recorded in incorrect or unnatural colours. (1) Set the POWER switch to CAMERA.
