Measure the resistance value, with an ohmmeter, between the jumpered AC plug and each exposed metallic cabinet part on the equipment such as screwheads, connectors, control shafts, etc. When the exposed metallic part has a return path to the chassis, the reading should be between 1M ohm and 5.2M ohm. How to reset all VCR Memory functions To reset (clear) the select language, channel auto set and set clock functions to their initial power on condition (power on, no cassette inserted), hold down the PLAY and REWIND buttons together on VCR for more than 5 seconds.   • Page 68 that the lower edge of the tape runs 0.25mm above the lower edge of the control head. If it doesnÕt, turn Black Screws (A), (B), and (C) slightly in either direction as necessary to correct it. Turn clockwise to lower the head and counterclockwise to raise it.
  • Page 69 Symptom of Misadjustment : If the tilt of the A/C Head is poorly adjusted, the tape will eventually be damaged. An intermittent Blue screen may be seen in Playback. 1. Play back a T120 Cassette tape and confirm that the tape runs properly between the lower and upper limits of the P4 post.

    Fig. J16 Fig. J17 4.1.3.12. ALIGNMENT PROCEDURES OF MECHANISM The following procedures describe how to align the individual gears and levers that make up the tape loading/unloading mechanism. Since information about the state of the mechanism is provided to the System Control Circuit only through the Mode Select Switch, it is essential that the correct relationship between individual gears and levers be maintained.
