Zoom In/Out Functions The Zoom Function can be used to record objects close by or to achieve a wide-angle shot. For wide-angle shots (zoom out): Press the [W/T] zoom lever towards [W]. For close-ups (zoom in): Press the [W/T] zoom lever towards [T]. ≥Zoom magnification is displayed for a few seconds.
Digital Zoom Function This function is useful when you want to record close-up shots of subjects located beyond a normal zoom range of 1k to 10k WB/SHUTTER IRIS/MF/VOL/JOG magnification. With the Digital Zoom Function, you can select a MENU PUSH magnification of 25k or 700k.
Digital Electronic Image Stabilizer Function PHOTO SHOT If you are recording in unstable situations and the Palmcorder is WB/SHUTTER IRIS/MF/VOL/JOG MENU shaky, you can use this function to correct for camera shake in these PUSH images. ≥If the Palmcorder shakes too much, this function may not be able to stabilize images being recorded.
MagicPix Function This function allows you to record color images brightly in a dark place without using a light. Press the [MAGICPIX] Button until the [MAGICPIX] Indication appears. 0 Lux MagicPix Function Using the LCD Monitor light, a dark scene of almost 0 lux can be recorded.
Wind Noise Reduction Function This function reduces the noise that the wind makes as it hits the WB/SHUTTER IRIS/MF/VOL/JOG MENU microphone during recording. Index Search Functions To facilitate searching of desired scene, this Palmcorder WB/SHUTTER IRIS/MF/VOL/JOG automatically records index signals during recording, as explained in MENU PUSH the following. PhotoShot Index Signal These signals are automatically recorded whenever still pictures are taken in PhotoShot Mode (l 30). When recording still pictures using the Continuous PhotoShot Mode (l 30), the index signal is not recorded.
Playback Digital Effect Functions During playback, special Digital Effects can be added to the Recording. The digital effects that may be applied in the process of recording (except Picture in Picture Mode) will be the same as these START/ DATE/ PHOTO STOP added effects.

Using your Palmcorder with Digital Video Equipment (Dubbing) By connecting this Palmcorder with other digital video equipment (such as another Palmcorder of the same format/model) that has a DV input/output terminal, and using a 4-pin to 4-pin DV Interface 1, 3 cable PV-DDC9/PV-DDC9-K (optional) , high quality images and sounds can be dubbed in the digital mode.
Using the Software with a Computer An image stored on the DV Cassette can be transferred to your Personal Computer. ª Software Installation (Windows) Turn on Computer and start up Windows. Insert supplied CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. ≥[Setup Menu] appears.
Installing USB Driver Please install USB Driver first before connecting the Palmcorder to your Personal Computer with the USB Connection Cable. Turn on the Personal Computer and start up Windows. Insert the supplied CD-ROM into the personal computer’s CD-ROM drive. ≥Quit all applications.
Connecting Computer and Palmcorder Install USB Driver before connecting. 1, 3 Never connect the USB Connecting Cable until the USB Driver is installed. Before making these connections, turn off all devices which are to be connected. Install the supplied USB Driver. Insert memory card into Palmcorder, then set card playback mode.
