Read the operating instructions carefully before starting to use this appliance. They contain important notes on installation, safety, opera- tion and care of the appliance.
  • Page 8 Before connecting the appliance to the mains supply make sure that the rating on the data plate corre- sponds to the voltage and frequency of the household supply. This data must correspond in order to avoid risk of damage to the appliance. Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt.

    With dynamic cooling the temperature inside the refrigerator section is distrib- uted to all areas more evenly. All food stored in the refrigerator section will be chilled to about the same degree. The temperature is controlled as normal with the temperature buttons.

The growth of bacteria, such as salmonella, can be avoided by setting the correct temperature and maintaining good standards of hygiene. Fruit and vegetables can be stored loose in the vegetable containers.

    To ensure that fresh food placed in the freezer freezes through to the core as quickly as possible, the maximum freezing capacity must not be ex- ceeded. The maximum freezing capac- ity for freezing within a 24 hour period is given on the data plate “Freezing ca- pacity ...kg/24 hrs”.

    Frozen food can be defrosted in differ- ent ways: – in the microwave oven, – in the oven using the “Fan” or “De- frost” setting, – at room temperature, – in the fridge. It is particularly important to observe food hygiene rules when de- frosting poultry.
  • Page 26 The freezer tray is useful for freezing small items such as berries and vegeta- bles. They can be frozen individually and therefore maintain their shape when defrosted. ^ Space the food out loosely on the tray. ^ Hang the tray in one of the upper freezer drawers.

    Condensate and frost can build up on the back wall of the refrigerator section whilst it is in use. These are automati- cally removed and defrosted by the ap- pliance. The condensate is drained away via a channel and drain hole into an evapora- tion system at the back of the appli- ance.

    Leave the doors open to air the appli- ance for a short while. A microfibre "E-Cloth" is available from the Miele UK Spare Parts Department, Part Number 98013530, which is suit- able for cleaning surfaces such as stainless steel, glass, plastic and chrome without the use of chemicals.

    ^ Replace all shelves and accessories in the refrigerator section. ^ Place food back in the refrigerator section, close the appliance doors, and switch the refrigerator section and the freezer section on.

All electrical work should be carried out by a suitably qualified and com- petent person in accordance with lo- cal and national safety regulations.

    Appliances without side wall heating must not be installed "side-by-side" next to another refrigerator or freezer. It should not be installed where it is ex- posed to direct sunlight or directly adja- cent to a heat-producing appliance such as an oven or a radiator. The ap- pliance should be installed in a dry well ventilated room.
