The utility prompts you to insert the backup disk, if not loaded in the optical drive. Reinstalling Applications/Drivers This allows you to reinstall a damaged application or device driver. Acer eRecovery Management extracts the data from the hidden hard disk drive partition. Power Management Setup The system has various power-saving modes including powering down the hard disk, turning off the video, suspending to RAM, and software power down that allows the system to be automatically resumed by certain events. The power-saving modes can be controlled by time-outs. If the system is inactive for a while, the time-outs begin counting. - Page 56 button causes a software power down. If the item is set for Delay four Sec., then you have to hold the power button down for four seconds to cause a software power down. Energy Lake Function This item enables or disables the Energy Lake Function. Both the ISA and PCI buses on the main board use system IRQs (interrupt requests) and DMAs (direct memory access).
