  • Page 3 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS (Read these precautions before use.) Before using this product, please read this manual and the relevant manuals introduced in this manual carefully and pay full attention to safety in order to handle the product correctly. This manual classifies the safety precautions into two categories: [ WARNING] and [ CAUTION].
  • Page 4 [DESIGN PRECAUTIONS] CAUTION ● When an inductive load such as a lamp, heater, or solenoid valve is controlled, a large current (approximately ten times greater than normal) may flow when the output is turned from off to on. Take proper measures so that the flowing current dose not exceed the value corresponding to the maximum load specification of the resistance load.
  • Page 5 [INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS] CAUTION ● Do not touch the conductive parts of the product directly. Doing so may cause device failures or malfunctions. ● When drilling screw holes or wiring, make sure that cutting and wiring debris do not enter the ventilation slits of the PLC.
  • Page 6 [WIRING PRECAUTIONS] WARNING ● Make sure to cut off all phases of the power supply externally before attempting installation or wiring work. Failure to do so may cause electric shock or damage to the product. ● Make sure to attach the terminal cover, provided as an accessory, before turning on the power or initiating operation after installation or wiring work.
  • Page 7 [WIRING PRECAUTIONS] CAUTION ● Do not supply power to the [24+] and [24V] terminals (24 V DC service power supply) on the CPU module or extension modules. Doing so may cause damage to the product. ● Perform class D grounding (grounding resistance: 100  or less) to the grounding terminal on the CPU module or extension modules with a wire 2 mm or thicker.
  • Page 8 ● Do not disassemble or modify the PLC. Doing so may cause fire, equipment failures, or malfunctions. For repair, contact your local Mitsubishi Electric representative. ● After the first use of the SD memory card, do not insert/remove the memory card more than 500 times.
  • Page 9 [OPERATION PRECAUTIONS] CAUTION ● Construct an interlock circuit in the program so that the whole system always operates on the safe side before executing the control (for data change) of the PLC in operation. Read the manual thoroughly and ensure complete safety before executing other controls (for program change, parameter change, forcible output and operation status change) of the PLC in operation.
