Connect to a Wi-Fi network to conserve your mobile data.
To prevent unauthorized access to your personal data and financial information, always
exercise caution when connecting to public Wi-Fi networks.
Connect to Wi-Fi: Open
Select the network you want to connect to. Depending on the network settings, you may have
to enter a password. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete authentication if required.
Refresh a Wi-Fi hotspot: Touch Scan to search again for available wireless networks.
Manually add a Wi-Fi hotspot: Scroll to the bottom of the menu, touch Add network..., and
follow the onscreen instructions to enter the network SSID and password.
Connect to a Wi-Fi network through WPS: In the Wi-Fi screen, go to
settings > WPS connection. Press the WPS button on your router to establish a connection.
Connecting to a WPS-enabled router over WPS allows you to quickly connect to the network
without entering a password.
Some apps or browsers cannot connect to the Internet
Check whether the network permission of the app or browser is disabled. Perform the
following operations:
Go to Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile data > Networked apps or Settings >Mobile
data > Networked apps and find the app or the browser. Enable Mobile data or Wi-Fi as
needed and ensure that the networking permission is enabled.
Update the app or browser to the latest version. Alternatively, uninstall the app, and then
download and install the app again.
Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the shortcuts panel, touch and hold
the Mobile dataicon to enter the Mobile network settings screen, and touch Access Point
Names. Then touch
Unable to access the Internet in a certain area or during certain periods of time
Settings, go to Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi and enable Wi-Fi.
